1-2-18 Long Ranger [with Video]: Active Pattern Continues in the January Forecast
January looks to continue on the cold side. While I don’t see the brutal cold sticking around forever, colder than normal temperatures are favored this month. And it looks like we’ll stay active with multiple systems rolling through too.
The EPO looks to stay negative for a good while longer and that’s a big clue that this colder pattern we’ve been in for weeks isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.
We will moderate to the 30s and maybe some lower 40s in the future, but I think several Arctic attacks will come our way this month. I’m not so sure we are done with the below zero temps for the winter. And the active clipper track will continue, as well, along with a couple of other interesting systems that could bring us some wintry mischief in the next couple weeks.
I cover all of this in detail in tonight’s Long Ranger video below.
